To all FT8 enthusiasts
1.Please UPGRADE your software. Let's make sure your software is up to date.
2.Some people says that "73" is required to complete QSO. But "WJST MANUAL" says that...
[If you have received RRR — that is, a definite acknowledgment of all of your information — the QSO is “officially” complete. However, the other station may not know this, so it is conventional to send 73s (or some other conversational information) to signify that you are done.]
So I will log if I will receive or send "RRR" or "RR73". If you are concerned please contact me by e-mail after the QSO.
3.Please enable "Enable PSK Reporter Spotting" function. If you use PSKR MAP, let's provide your information in the spirit of give and take.
4.How do you describe signal report in your own QSL?
I may care too much, but I try to include the report with "SNR (dB)" instead of "RST". I am adjusting the format. But I think it would be OK to correct the handwriting such as SNR instead of RST, and add units to the numbers shown.
5. Grid Locator
Your grid locator should enter at least 6 digits into the software. JTDX supports up to 8 digits. You can find your fine grid locator on this site. http://www.k7fry.com/grid/
Both WSJT-X and JTDX users can display a grid locator of up to 10 digits on the PSKR map by editing the ini file.
