JTDXのFT4搭載について ― 2019年08月12日 12時43分12秒
Hello all,
we monitoring statistics and have not seen more than 10% FT4 spots at peak from FT8 activity. Taking in account twice shorter FT4 interval FT4 activity did not exceed 5% at it's peak of FT8 activity levels.
Assuming FT8 HF bands are being saturated, there is a great chance to get 50% more FT8 spots if FT8 bandwidth increased twice.
So far there is no reason to invest time in FT4 implementation in JTDX as similar to JT65->FT8 transition we will have to interrupt FT8 decoder development while FT8 now has greater usage.
It has taken almost two years of team work to bring FT8 decoder to current sensitivity&efficiency in JTDX, do not expect FT4 decoder will be shortly improved and could compete with FT8 one. Also keep in mind that communication radius in FT4 also depends on the activity level, once bands are overcrowded the radius could decrease to intra-continental communication.

changelogは読むようにしていましたが、どうも、読み飛ばしていたようです。
JTDXもGFSK化したことから、FT8の各ソフトウェアが8GFSK化完了したので、JAでは変更届が必須ですね。

FT4の対応はまだでも、FT8送信系である８GFSKを行えば、バンド内の不要な輻射が減るので対応していただければ良いと思うのですが。。。
